Halloween night, 1990. One shift. One missing flight. Something is coming back.

You’re working the night shift at Valdehorna Regional Airport when the mystery of flight VX 000 begins to resurface. It vanished in 1974 with 31 passengers on board. No wreckage. No explanation.

Now, strange signals are appearing on radar, airport records don't add up, and the deeper you investigate, the less you can trust what you see.

Explore the airport, inspect suspicious objects, uncover hidden clues, and keep operations running as the night grows increasingly disturbing. Every discovery brings you closer to the truth behind VX 000.

GATE ZERO is a retro pixel-art horror adventure set in an isolated airport, where you must piece together a decades-old disappearance before your shift ends at dawn.

The airport is still open. The night is still going.

And something is on its way.

Install instructions

  1. Download the game and extract the ZIP file to a folder of your choice.
  2. Open the extracted folder and run GATE ZERO.exe.
  3. Windows may display a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning. This can happen with indie games from new or unrecognized developers because Windows may not yet recognize the publisher.
  4. If you downloaded the game from the official GATE ZERO itch.io page and trust the source, click More info, then Run anyway to launch the game.

Don't worry if you see this warning! It does not automatically mean the game contains a virus. However, only proceed if you downloaded the game from the official page and are comfortable trusting the file.
